1. The part upstream of Houffalize. Hard to fish because of the difficult access and the surroundings relatively wild. Casting a fly there is difficult, but the results are rewarding.
2. The part spreading from Houffalize to the part « Catch and Release », along the road. It’s the most fished section, river there is wonderful but the fish is tough. Close alternance of streams and small pools, with an important number of fish spots.
3. The « Catch and Release » section spreads until the Bridge of Rensiwez. Same type of river that the upstream section, but naturally more populated. Prospecting is more fruitful and the big fishes are not rare.
4. The final part spreading from the Bridge of Rensiwez to the Eastern entry of the Barrage of Nisramont. Formerly this section was reserved in a « Catch and Release » section. From the Bridge of Rensiwez, the river distances the road and it’sis necessary to walk a big hour to reachthe end of the stretch. Fishing spots are more numerous than upstream and the nature is enchanting.

Description: This superb place divides in two separated by a private section.

1. The stretch of Cailloux - Mousny: Upstream the village of Ortho, it is necessary to follow a small stony trail which goes downhill to the river. The river is here completely in undergrowth, and fishing spots are legion. The fish there is tough, but the numerous hatches that happen there allow a fly to be always attractive. The pursuit of graylings in the main flow, and the chase for trouts in the smaller veins of the stream or along the bank, make the prospecting meticulous and long. What a wonderful place.

2. The stretch from « La Ferme au Pont » to the western entry of the barrage. The left bank is full of chalets during 1 km. This stretch is clearly less bucolic than the upper one. But the river is the same, and some fishermen like the easier access. Graylings seem to be more numerous than in Mousny, and nothing is more enjoyable than a aperitif in the garden of « La Ferme au Pont » at noon, or than a good drop after the evening fishing time.
